Rewriting Motherhood: How TV Represents Moms and What We Want To See Next
Moms First, in partnership with the Geena Davis Institute on Gender in Media, released a groundbreaking report that examines the cultural portrayals of motherhood in television. and makes clear cut recommendations to entertainment executives to rewrite portrayals of American motherhood while also investing in workplace policies like child care, paid leave, and pay equity.
Our CEO, Reshma Saujani, was elected co-chair of the Global Future Council on Care, the first-ever council devoted to uplifting the importance of the care economy. Throughout the two year commitment, beginning in 2023, Moms First is driving a global dialogue that puts moms and care alongside the other most pressing issues of our planet, climate and artificial intelligence.
