CEO and Founder, Equimundo
Gary Barker, PhD, is CEO and founder of Equimundo Center for Masculinities and Social Justice, a leading research and action NGO that promotes caring and connected manhood in the US and globally. He is co-founder of MenCare, a global campaign in more than 70 countries promoting engaged fatherhood and co-founder of MenEngage, a global alliance of more than 1000 NGOs. He co-leads Equimundo’s high profile research including its State of the World's Fathers and State of the World’s Men reports, and is an advisor to governments, foundations, corporations and international agencies on men and masculinity. He holds a PhD in Developmental Psychology. He lived more than 20 years in Latin America and currently lives in Washington, DC, with his bi-national family.
