Brian Heilman is an accomplished researcher and expert in the fields of gender equality, violence prevention, and men’s health. Over fifteen years of international leadership experience, he has shaped influential studies that continue to influence policy, practice, and public understanding of these important issues. Heilman was lead author of the inaugural “State of America’s Fathers” report and co-author of four editions of the “State of the World’s Fathers” reports, establishing him as a leading proponent of equal care work and engaged fatherhood. As Senior Research Fellow at Movember, Heilman is leading an effort to promote healthy definitions of masculinity under the auspices of the new Movember Institute of Men’s Health.
